I bought this book because of the great reviews and was dissapointed once I started reading it. Yes, the book contains interesting information. However, the author relies too heavily on apparitions which are still under investigation, rather than providing information from those which have been deemed to be of supernatural origin. I was suprised to see that he included the alleged prophacy of St. Malachy. The author fails to mention that the Malachy prophecies were probably not written by St. Malachy - they were discovered several hundred years after he died - and are written in such a way that you can see in them whatever you want to see. There are many good, Church approved, end time prophecies out there. The author should have relied more on them. If you want a good book on end time prophecies try Trial, Tribulation and Truiumph.
Secrets, Chastisement and Triumph is OK, but not great.

Book arrived as promised and was in great condition. this (2nd book purchased) was a replacement of our copy being stolen when we suffered a recent robery in Trinidad.
Its an enjoyabel and informative book.

This book was recommended to me by a wonderful priest after I cried and cried to him about the happenings in this world/country. He pulled this book out, opened it up and read some passages. I sat there almost frozen in amazement. It is a book that I keep on my bed stand with the bible and read often. I have read it through once and am reading it again. Sometimes I just look at specific chapters. I tell all of my catholic friends to read it. I insist until they do and then they thank me over and over again. They then do the same thing with their friends. Don't pass this one over. It is profound and puts everything into perspective.

This is an excellent book and not to be missed for people that want to understand the difference between Catholoic Prophecy and Protestant Prophecy.
It seems likely that the 100-Year Persecution of the Catholic Church and Christianity as a whole in Pope Saint Leo's Vision in 1884 most likely began with World War I in 1914 or the Bolshevik/Communist Revolution of 1917 meaning that the 100 years comes to an end between 2014-2017.
What we know of from Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary that have been approved by the Catholic Church the so-called nightmarish and terrifying "Divine Chastisement" or God's Punishment of that part of Humanity that consorted or took part in this will be destroyed and the World purified by the Holy Trinity, the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Michael the Archangel and all of God's Angels and Saints this decade through Cosmic Catastrophies like a 1/2 mile wide Asteroid Impact, a "Gamma-Ray Burst" from a giant Solar Flare from our Sun and an even larger "Gamma-Ray Burst" from a nearby Super-Nova of a Star that's fairly close to us in our Galaxy which will destroy much of Humanity as the Blessed Virgin Mary has stated in countless "Apparitions" or Appearances in the 20th and early 21st Century.
The time for conversion to Catholicism must be immediate to lessen the Divine Chastisement which appears imminent. Daniel P. Kneeland, Grafton, Ma.

I recently read about a sex education program in the UK that features an explicit video that is to be used in sex ed programs for SEVEN to NINE year old children. That same day, I read in this book about Our Lady of Good Success. During the 1600's, the Blessed Mother appeared to a nun in Quito, Ecuador, describing to the nun the things that would transpire in the 20th century: "Innocence will almost no longer be found in children, nor modesty in women, and in this supreme moment of need of the Church, those who should speak shall fall silent." And further: "There will be almost no virgin souls in the world... During these unfortunate times, evil will invade childhood innocence." It can hardly be denied that we are living in the times spoken of so long ago, with heartbreaking results for children and families. What family today has not been touched by these realities? Mary also accurately speaks of the state of Holy Orders. Imagine if she had mentioned such things as embryonic stem cell research, or women selling their eggs so that their unknown offspring could be used for scientific research. Few in the 17th century could even have understood such concepts. We are surely living in times that cry out to God for justice, yet Our Blessed Mother intercedes so that we can instead experience His mercy.
Mary has made it clear that she must have our help to fight this battle. Even those of us who pray the rosary, occasionally, and receive Communion frequently, need the urgent reminders and encouragement found in this book. What Mary asks of us is so simple - prayer, fasting and sacrifice for sinners along with the daily rosary and the wearing of the scapular. She gives so many promises of her special help to those who answer her call. As the author asks, could our answer to these motherly requests possibly be "no"? What a wonderful book this is, filled not only with warnings but with encouragement to fight for the souls of our fellow men.
We know how this battle is going to end. Let's not just be on the winning side, let's be Mary's foot soldiers. If you come across this book, read it, follow all that Mary asks. Take it as a personal invitation. Many thanks to Dr. Bowring for providing this very thorough collection of warnings, promises and prophecies. We have started saying the family rosary in response to his book. With each daily rosary I pray, as he did, that Mary will give us the grace to say it again tomorrow.
