Product Description In this eagerly awaited follow-up to The Lion's Game, John Corey, former NYPD Homicide detective and special agent for the Anti-Terrorist Task Force, is back. And, unfortunately for Corey, so is Asad Khalil, the notorious Libyan terrorist otherwise known as "The Lion." Last we heard from him, Khali had claimed to be defecting to the US only to unleash the most horrific reign of terrorism ever to occur on American soil. While Corey and his partner, FBI agent Kate Mayfield, chased him across the country, Khalil methodically eliminated his victims one by one and then disappeared without a trace.
Now, years later, Khalil has returned to America to make good on his threats and take care of unfinished business. "The Lion" is a killing machine once again loose in America with a mission of revenge, and John Corey will stop at nothing to achieve his own goal -- to find and kill Khahil.

good not great September 6, 2010 great start. entertaining. quick read. not very deep. good action but not the great level of character development from the earlier corey novels. a little too much jack reacher/lee child.
worth the wait! September 5, 2010 The Lion's Game was amazing and this sequel is exactly what I hoped for (anxiously)! Sharp, detailed and hysterical as always...and a page-turner. Love love love Nelson D's work! He takes his time and writes a brilliant novel each time (hear me J Patterson?)
I just pray everyone reads this, knowing how he practically predicted 9/11 in The Lion's Game.
the lion September 5, 2010 Ronald J. Richardson (northern new york) the book tied up the loose ends from it's predecessor but was a short read and had none of the excitement. i like demille's style but i feel he dropped the ball on this one.
Sad his writing has gone downlill September 3, 2010 W. Benecke 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a huge fan....but not anymore. I won't buy another Nelson DeMille book. Most other one star reviews have said it all. It is just so disappointing.
A mail it in effort September 1, 2010 Donald J. Deckman (Northern Illinois) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book was probably a contract filler and seems to have been written on a Saturday evening.
No plot no suspense, just very predictable
No where near the talent that DeMille has, are we sure someone else did not write this ?
